For those of you who really know me, this is a BIG DEAL!

   I first heard PHIL KEAGGY on a vinyl record and turntable forty years ago in 1974.  Then in the summer of 1982, I was privileged to get to meet him and hear him "live" at an outdoor festival with 25,000 other fans.   Over the years, I have collected about 50 of his albums, and heard him "In Concert" over 25 times (I stopped counting long ago).  As you can imagine, this is a very special event for me, having PHIL play in my hometown.

I hope many of you will join me to hear this amazing guitarist.

Phil Keaggy is perhaps one of the most admired guitarists in music today. His fans range from those who aspire just to be able to play Keaggy’s mistakes, to professional musicians who have been strongly influenced by his style. English guitarist RICHARD SMITH will be appearing "In Concert" 

@ the Rowan Public Library in Salisbury NC, on Tuesday, January 27 @ 7 pm.

This is a FREE show, sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 

Richard got his start when his father introduced him to Chet Atkins' music 
and then to Chet himself.   He had his performing debut onstage 
with Chet at Her Majesty's Theatre in London at age eleven!   
Richard has become a well-known Fingerstyle Guitar genius, 
with a mastery of the fretboard and a lightning fast touch.
